V-Rod Home

Wow! It looks better already I think that I might be able to save it.
Check out the emergency brake handle I think the front-end could be dropped about five inches or so.

The next day I looked at the car and decided that it would look a little better if I just took the top off. So I did. Then I thought to myself, if the windshield were only half the size it would probably look even better. And it did. So I guess you can see where this is going. I really didn’t mean to lie to my wife, about not working on the car, but I figured that if I didn’t spend any more money on it then everything would be all right. With that thought in mind, I could take that god awful emergency brake handle off the side of the car and there would be no harm done. Oh! Did I mention how much I hated those huge old headlights? Off they come….

Well the next thing I know I’m getting deeper and deeper into the project and all I can think about is how neat the car will be when it’s finished.

The next thing that happens is my buddy Perry invites me to a picnic/car show at his house on July 15th for his son Steve’s sixteenth birthday party. The past few years I haven’t had a car to take to his yearly picnic. In fact last year I barrowed my sons Manx dune buggy so I would at least have something to drive. Anyway, now my thoughts turn to.…Can I get the Volks-Rod running in three and a half months? After all, my wife would probably be all right with that seeing as how it’s such a good reason and all.
